Today, solar is science. But why can’t energy be beautiful too? Sunne is a self-powered solar light that captures, stores and produces light indoors. By day, it harvests energy from the sun while it hangs by your window; by night, it brings sunlight into your home.
Sunne is shaped like the horizon, the curve providing a larger surface area that allows for maximum solar cells. The lamp has three settings that imitate all the natural moments of the sun; Sunne Rise, Sunne Set and Sunne Light.
Sunne Experience
The Sunne Experience is a light installation that draws you closer to the sun. The Sunne lights mimic the daily cycle of the sun with Sunne Rise, Sunne Light and Sunne Set. All shaped like the horizon, and lights positioned differently, it is like an orchestra of captured sunlight, taking you up above, and beyond. All to bring the sun indoors, and to immerse ourselves in the cosmos, and get closer to our source of life.
A single Sunne is normally solar-powered, harvesting energy by day to light your home at night, but for this experience it is placed in a network of Sunnes, and has been rebuild for normal power.
Sunne Experience comes with a minimum of 5 Sunne lights and can be set to 3 different light settings, as well as to custom programming (alternating between settings).
Sunne Experience (Studio Version)
The Sunne Experience is an immersive light and sound installation that draws you closer to the sun, in many different ways. The Sunne lights mimic the daily cycle of the sun with Sunne Rise, Sunne Light and Sunne Set. All shaped like the horizon, and positioned differently, it is like an orchestra of captured sunlight, taking you up above, and beyond. The 8 minutes and 20 seconds sound composition (the time it takes for sunlight to reach planet earth) is based on NASA’s Sound of the Sun and was developed specifically for this installation. A minimum of 10 Sunne lights have been programmed in harmony with this composition. All to bring the sun indoors, and to immerse ourselves in the cosmos, and get closer to our source of life.

Sunne Experience – Studio Version comes with a minimum of 10 Sunne lights and includes rebuild power supply, software design and the sound composition. Custom design for the space is done by Marjan van Aubel Studio.
